From New York City area or Danbury:
1.  From Interstate 684 take exit to I-84 to Danbury.  At exit 7 on I-84 take Route 7 North to New Milford.
2.  Follow Route 202 across bridge through the town, past the Green - then Rte. 202 turns left.  Go 7
miles to new Preston, then take a left onto Route 45.  Then follow direction #11 (below) to Lake
Waramaug State Park.

From Hartford:
From I-84 West you have two choices -- you can take state roads which is slightly shorter in time and
miles, or follow directions from Waterbury (below).
3.  Take exit 39 onto Route 4, Farmington.  Follow Route 4, after passing through Farmington and
Unionville Rte. 4 will turn left and go through Burlington and Harwinton.
4.  In Harwinton, Rte 4 becomes Route 118, and follow this to Litchfield.
5.  At Rout 202 (facing church), take a left onto Rte. 202, and follow to new Preston, and take a right
onto Rte. 45 just after passing under traffic light, then follow direction #11 (below) to State Park.

From Waterbury:
6.  While on I-84, after passing Waterbury take exit 17, Middlebury, Route 684.  Follow this to
Woodbury and take a right onto Route 6 and pass through town until you reach Route 47 at a light.
7.  Take a left onto Rte. 47 and follow for nine miles through Washington until Rte. 47 reaches Rte. 202.
Then turn left on Rte 2020 and go one mile to New Preston.  Take right onto Rte 45 just after passing
under traffic light.  Then follow #11 (below) to Lake Waramaug State Park.

From New Haven:
8.  Follow Rte 34 west into Derby and Route 8.  Take a right onto Rte. 8 North and follow to exit 22,
Seymour, Bank Street (this is the second exit for Rte. 67), and take a left at exit, then a left at light into
Route 67 North.
9.  Follow through Oxford and Southbury, when Rte. 67 becomes Rte. 6.  (Do not take Rte. 67 to New
Milford.)  Follow Rte 6 to Woodbury.  After passing through town take a left onto Rte. 47 at traffic light.

From Torrington:
10.  Follow Rte 202 to Litchfield.  Then travel on Rte 202 to New Preston (about nine miles).  Just after
passing under traffic light, take a right onto Rte. 45, then follow direction #11 to State Park.

To Lake Waramaug from Rte. 202:
11.  After turning onto Route 45, go through New Preston until you reach Lake.   Stay on Rte. 45 for one
mile with lake on your left until reaching North Shore Road and sign to State Park.   Take left onto N.
Shore Rd. and follow for two miles to Park.
